Training 2+2+2
Training is the essence of a good startup and Interface
endeavors to have franchisees up and running in the shortest time
possible. It is our aim to have the franchise open for business
within 30-60 days of signing a franchise agreement.
Initial training is 6 days and is broken down into
3 two-day Modules. Additionally, Interface provides ongoing coaching
and training for the entire term of a franchise. Below is a brief
overview of our training program.

Module 1:
The initial module begins with the franchisee conducting a self-directed
training session under the guidance of Interface. Interface executive
staff are involved and available for questions during this process.
Approximately one week after signing a franchise agreement, franchisees
receive their 9-volume Operations Manual and materials. Along with
this, they receive a detailed Training Workbook filled with assignments
and exercises designed to guide the franchisee through the most
important aspects of their manuals and maximize retention of the
information. It is normal for a franchisee to need about a two-week
period in which to review and digest this material.
During that time that you are reviewing the material
we are also busy, we are customizing all of the relevant forms,
contracts, agreements, etc. that will be required for the franchisee
to commence operations. Similarly, at this time all of your printed
material is prepared. This consists of letterhead, envelopes, business
cards and marketing brochures. At this time we also have to create
and customize your personal copy of the Interface IDEA accounting
software, which is supplied to you on a CD-ROM during training Module
two.
Module 2:
Once all of that material is completed and you have completed Module
one, you will then attend a 2-day training session at our Irvine
headquarters facility in California. This is Module two and focuses
on Interface background, transaction methodology, software applications
and much more.
Module 3:
Module three comes approx 7/14 days after satisfactory completion
of the Irvine training. In Module three we visit your location for
a two-day calling program to get your Lead Source Referral Group
started. This is a time of practical marketing. The Interface training
professional will go with the franchisee and, by appointment (already
made by Head Office) will call on potential lead source referral
parties. It is normal that over a two-day period as many as 12 banks,
non-bank lenders, and/or accountants might be visited. This starts
the process of channeling referrals for your franchise. In some
previous training sessions, referrals have been made during the
initial visits that have resulted in the establishment of an immediate
prospective client base.
The cost of training is all included in the franchise
fee with the exception of the Irvine portion where the franchisee
is responsible for travel, lodging and living expenses.
